I began my accounting career as a cadet in a boutique Circular Quay firm, taking the traditional Chartered Accountant path to become a Partner.
Fast forward a few years and a lot of dedication, I achieved my dream, & became the head of SMSF Services at a top 100 firm by 2016.
It was everything I had worked for—status, office, title... But after the pandemic, I paused to reflect.
The relentless demands of the industry had come at a cost, and I began questioning not just how I worked, but why I worked.
What I saw was clear: accountants and business owners, stretched thin, struggling with capacity and compliance, and overwhelmed by subpar SMSF services that left clients dissatisfied.
Offshore teams and automation were touted as solutions, but they missed the heart of the matter—relationships and problem-solving.
I founded SMSF Copilot to be the solution I wish I’d had.
